LumiTop 4000/2700 – Innovative design, combining imaging and spectral measurement technology
LumiTop 4000 and LumiTop 2700 imaging photometric colorimeters of Instrument Systems are used together with CAS spectrometers to measure the brightness and chromaticity uniformity of display screens in the production line. They also include a photodiode, thus combining the advantages of three different types of Measuring instruments:
·Ultra high accuracy in spectral point measurement
·Analysis options for image colorimeters
·The time resolution of the photodiode.
The patented optical design allows simultaneous measurement of all three sensors at once. Accurate spectral measurements are used for immediate reference and transmitted to the full display area of the camera. In this way, the measurement time is very short, and all relevant optical tests can be carried out in one test station.
LumiTop has two basic versions:
·LumiTop 4000 (CMOS) with 12 MP RGB sensor
·LumiTop 2700 (CCD) with 6 MP RGB sensor
The LumiTop 4000 developed from the LumiTop 2700 can detect and analyze smaller defects and nonuniformities. When used with a 100 mm lens, it can perform single pixel analysis (limited field of view). Due to the HW trigger, it is also suitable for applications using timing measurement processes (e.g μ Optical testing of LED wafers). Its high brightness mode extends the dynamic range, and is particularly suitable for measuring modulation displays and light sources (such as OLED displays).
